The Image Exchange Portal controls the exchange of diagnostic images and reports through a secure web based application.
This product and the managed services surrounding it are based on the clinical relationship established by a referral from one healthcare organisation to another. This is supported by the portal supporting this by forming a legitimate relationship between the Requestor, Sender and the Recipient of any transfer irrespective of the organisation. An example of this is a referral from a GP to a specialist.
This will mean that multiple organisations can request images and/or case information that can be exchanged via the portal.
As always where patient or sensitive data is involved the relevant authentication and security measures are put in place to make sure that only the relevant personnel and/or organisations are granted access.
